Hi, Ann! I've found two suitable pictures for our project “The importance of volunteering” Let me tell you a few words about them.
• In the 1st picture, there’s a group of people picking up litter in a park. They are probably doing this voluntary work to help the environment, to make the world a better place to live. While in the second photo, there is a group of young people enjoying themselves in a nightclub. They are dancing wildly. At first sight, the 2d picture is not suitable but it can brightly highlight the difference between volunteering and entertainment.
• It goes without saying, that the pictures show opposing activities. The 1st picture depicts the people freely giving time and labour for community service whereas in the 2d one the youth are unwinding in a pleasant way.
• In my view, both activities shown in the photos have advantages and disadvantages. When volunteers get together for a particular action they will make a lot of friends and experience something new, but volunteering can be time-consuming. As for clubbing, it’s highly exciting, young people dance to their favourite music, chat, and flirt. On the other hand, this activity involves drinking alcohol and the music is deafening.
• Well, I think these shots suit our project perfectly because they provide food for thought. I hope they will help to convey our message clearly: nowadays everyone should do something selflessly to help people and nature.

• Talking about myself, I would like to be a volunteer, because I would be able to do something meaningful, meet new like-minded people.
